Job Overview

An Ocotillo Services Warehouse Receiver ensures accurate and timely receipt, inspection, and documentation of furniture shipments within a strict 48-hour timeframe. While also upholding quality standards, organizing inventory, collaborating with teams, and contributing to efficient operations, which ultimately enhances customer satisfaction and supply chain integrity.

Duties & Responsibilities

Some of your duties may include:

• Inventory Management: A receiver is responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and documenting incoming shipments of goods. They must verify the quantity, quality, and condition of items against purchase orders and packing lists, ensuring that discrepancies are promptly addressed.
• Quality Control: Ensuring the received products meet quality standards is a critical duty. Receivers inspect items for damage, defects, and compliance with specifications. They identify and report any issues to the appropriate departments and follow established procedures for handling defective or non-conforming items.
• Data Entry and Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records is crucial. Warehouse receivers enter relevant information about received items into inventory management systems. This includes updating stock levels, recording serial or batch numbers, and creating digital records of each shipment. Accurate documentation helps in tracking inventory and resolving any discrepancies.
• Collaboration and Communication: Warehouse receivers interact with various departments, including vendors and sometimes customers. Effective communication is essential to address discrepancies and ensure smooth operations. They also collaborate with warehouse personnel to organize the storage and distribution of received goods efficiently.
